Third-party software

Origami Diagram Maker includes software made by others, each part under its own licence (section 7 of the licence). Every download comes with the full list and every licence text: THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.txt, next to the program. This page summarises those lists for version 1.1.0 on Windows, macOS and Linux.

Parts of the program from others

The layer-order solver and the geometry it rests on are ported from or closely follow flat-folder by Jason S. Ku (MIT licence).

Source code of the LGPL libraries

Windows

These libraries are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). They are included as separate files in the program's folder (_internal), and you may replace them with modified versions, as the LGPL and section 7 of this program's licence allow:

• Qt 6.11.2 (LGPL-3.0-only), its source modules qtbase, qtimageformats, qtsvg: _internal\PySide6\Qt6*.dll and _internal\PySide6\plugins.
• PySide6 6.11.2 (LGPL-3.0-only): the other files in _internal\PySide6 (its .pyd and .py files and pyside6.abi3.dll).
• Shiboken6 6.11.2 (LGPL-3.0-only): _internal\shiboken6.
• GEOS 3.13.1 (LGPL-2.1), as bundled with Shapely 2.1.2: _internal\Shapely.libs\geos-*.dll and geos_c-*.dll.
• libquadmath from GCC 10.3.0 (LGPL-2.1-or-later), inside the OpenBLAS libraries of numpy 1.26.4 and scipy 1.13.1: _internal\numpy.libs\libopenblas*.dll and _internal\scipy.libs\libopenblas*.dll.

macOS

These libraries are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). They are included as separate files in the program's bundle (Contents/Frameworks), and you may replace them with modified versions, as the LGPL and section 7 of this program's licence allow:

• Qt 6.11.2 (LGPL-3.0-only), its source modules qtbase, qtsvg: the Qt*.framework folders in Contents/Frameworks/PySide6/Qt/lib and the plugins in Contents/Frameworks/PySide6/Qt/plugins.
• PySide6 6.11.2 (LGPL-3.0-only): the other files in Contents/Frameworks/PySide6 (its .so and .py files and libpyside6.abi3 library).
• Shiboken6 6.11.2 (LGPL-3.0-only): Contents/Frameworks/shiboken6.

• libquadmath from GCC 11.3.0 with conda-forge's Apple-silicon patch (conda-forge libgfortran5 11.3.0, build hdaf2cc0_26); GCC 12.1 for Darwin (gcc-12-branch, tag gcc-12.1-darwin-r0; gfortran 12.1 for macOS by F.-X. • libfuse 3.15.0 (LGPL-2.1), statically linked into the AppImage runtime (the start of the .AppImage file), with the runtime's own source (type2-runtime at commit 3d17002, MIT).
• The GCC runtime libraries that come with them (GPL-3.0-or-later with the GCC Runtime Library Exception): libgfortran from GCC 8.3.1 (CentOS 7 libgfortran5 8.3.1-2.1.1.el7; source gcc-libraries-8.3.1-2.1.1.el7); libgomp1 12.3.0-1ubuntu1~22.04.3 from Debian/Ubuntu's gcc-12 (_internal/libgomp.so.1.0.0).
